In today’s fast-paced world, it can feel difficult - excruciatingly uncomfortable even - to slow down and re-connect with ourselves. Instead, we binge a new series in our ‘down time’, we spend the last few hours of the day with our heads in our phones, the other 10 hours worrying about endless to-do’s, and in-between moving from A-to-B, feeling constantly rushed, stressed and drained - totally disconnected from our bodies and the present moment - meaning sensual experiences are rare or fleeting.

We roll on to the next day, wondering why we feel groggy, frustrated, lethargic, dense or disconnected from ourselves and other people. If we’re not able to s-l-o-w down, feel and process all that’s alive inside of us, we’ll never know what it is to feel sensually awake, alive and enthused by life.

WHAT IS SENSUAL EMBODIMENT?

If you’ve ever delighted at the explosion of colour in a sunset sky, savoured the smell of freshly-baked cookies, or moved your body impulsively to your favourite music without thinking – you’ve had a sensual experience. 

Sensual embodiment is the practice of deeply connecting with and inhabiting your body in a way that engages all of your senses—being deeply present with your physical experience and using your body as a conduit for pleasure, vitality, and self-expression.

The problem is, many of us find it difficult to be present with our physical experience—we desensitise ourselves and disconnect from our bodies so we don't have to feel what we deem uncomfortable or scary. 

If you want to feel more pleasure, vitality and joy—the kind that envelops and nourishes every cell of your being—it's your responsibility to resensitise your body.

Through specific somatic practices that focus on breath, movement and sound, we're able to create the safety within our body to feel, hone and harness the well of energy that resides within us for more vitality and aliveness.

We often wait for someone else, or something else, to activate our life force. When we reclaim our sensuality as our own, not as a performance for ‘other’, but as our own regenerative energy source that’s always alive and pulsing within us at all times - we stop relying on others to stimulate us, to satiate us, to make us feel ‘alive’ - we understand that our own body is the key to our ignition.

So many women are waiting for something, or someone, to ignite their inner spark - placing the abundance of power that’s inside of them, into the hands of someone else.

In one way, this makes sense - it means we don’t have to take responsibility for ourselves, we don’t have to make an effort, and we don’t have to confront where we’re falling short. It’s easier to blame everything and everyone else, instead of ourselves.

We actively make ourselves the victim, waiting for someone to ‘save’ us from ourselves.

But growing up, my sensitivity was met with discomfort—labelled as “too much,” “too emotional,” even burdensome. So I learned to mute it. To tuck away the parts of me that felt too tender, too alive, too threatening to my sense of belonging.

I disconnected from my sensuality—not out of choice, but survival. To stay safe, connected, and loved.

And like anything denied, it leaked sideways.

Emotional breakdowns. Burnout. Overwhelm.

Whenever I did express my sensuality, I felt the sting of rejection— especially from other women. I learned that my sensuality was a threat to myself and to others. It was unsafe, unwelcome and inappropriate—I learnt along the way that essentially, my sensuality lost me love.

So I shrank. I hid. And in that hiding, I blocked the very things I craved: connection, intimacy, joy, freedom and pleasure.

Everything began to shift when I turned inward and reclaimed what was always mine.

I realised my sensuality wasn’t a threat that needed to be controlled or subdued—it was a force that when embraced and nourished, became the source of my power, my joy, my creativity and my aliveness. It brought me true connection and intimacy.

Reclaiming my sensuality brought me home to myself. It awakened my inner spark, sky-rocketed my confidence and deepened my sense of worth—from within.

It instilled a profound depth of love for myself, reverence for my body and awe for life itself.

My deepest wish is that all women feel liberated in the body they've been blessed with—to be able to express their sensuality without fear, shame or guilt.

When we choose to unshame our sensuality, we don’t just heal ourselves—we heal hundreds of years, lineages and lifetimes of sensual vilification and repression. We heal the wounds of our ancestors, and teach a new generation of women that it's safe to express the fullness of who they are.

This is more than self-discovery.
This is liberation.

I'M NEW TO sensual EMBODIMENT - CAN I STILL DO THE COURSE?

Absolutely! This course has been designed for both beginners who are exploring sensual embodiment for the first time, as well as more advanced practitioners who'd like to deepen their practice and be guided by someone else. Even if you've been practicing for years, I know how glorious it is to be guided and supported so you can fully surrender and relax into receiving.

How many hours per week will I need to dedicate to this course in order to reap the rewards?

I suggest reserving 1 hour a week to get through each week's pre-recorded content, plus 15 minutes a day (or more if you have time) to deepen into the practices. The more consistent you are with the practices, and the more devoted you are to yourself, the more attuned you will become to your sensuality. Find your own flow and follow your own adventure. Consistency will look different for everyone - if 30 minutes a day is achievable for you, amazing. If 15 minutes is achievable for you, amazing. If 5 minutes is achievable for you, amazing. Just keep it consistent.

DOES THIS COURSE HELP WITH SEX & Sexuality?

Although sensuality is intrinsically linked to sexuality, the two are also separate. I will be touching on the connection between sensuality and sexuality, as the teachings in this course may very well impact how you show up sexually, but it is not about sex.

An important point to note: Due to the nature of sensual exploration - trauma held within the body can re-surface unexpectedly. I highly advise having a trauma-informed therapist or coach available to you for extra support alongside the course if you're concerned about having a trauma response / trauma re-surface.
